Terms of Service

CapitalMe ("the Service") is operated by CaptialMe ("we", "us"). By using the Service you are entering into an agreement with CaptialMe.

By creating an account or continuing to use the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. You must be of legal age in your country, or have authority to bind the organization you represent.

CapitalMe is a personal-finance organizing and education tool: budgets, goals, net worth tracking, calculators, a scenario planner and an AI coach. All projections are hypothetical.

No advice. Information in the Service, including AI Coach responses, is for general and educational purposes only. It is not financial, investment, legal or tax advice, and not a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Your decisions are your own responsibility. AI outputs may be inaccurate; verify important information.

Keep your login details confidential; you're responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

You must not: use the Service unlawfully or for fraud or spam; infringe others' intellectual property; upload malware, probe, scrape or interfere with the Service's security; attempt to manipulate the AI Coach to produce harmful or illegal content; reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service; or circumvent plan limits.

Do not use AI features to create illegal content, deceptive deepfakes, hate speech or malware, or attempt to bypass safeguards. You are responsible for your prompts, having rights to submitted content, verifying outputs and how you use them. We may remove or restrict content, filter or refuse outputs, and suspend accounts for violations.

CaptialMe owns the Service, including its software, design, content and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it within your plan. You keep ownership of the data you enter; you grant us a limited licence to host and process it solely to provide the Service.

We do not claim ownership of your AI inputs or outputs; any rights you have in outputs are subject to applicable law and third-party rights, and outputs may not be unique or eligible for copyright protection. Rights holders can report infringement to CapitalMeEmail@gmail.com. We may remove infringing content and terminate accounts for repeated infringement.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

All core benefits are included free with an account, without a trial or payment card. Advanced is the only paid plan, at $25 per month. Payment, billing, taxes, renewals and cancellations are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Advanced renews monthly until cancelled. Cancelling keeps Advanced access until the end of the paid period, after which your free account benefits remain available. See our Refund Policy.

We work to keep CapitalMe running smoothly but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

We may suspend or end your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You can delete your account at any time. When access ends, we delete your data within 30 days unless the law requires us to keep it.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or data. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law doesn't allow it.
